Pastor Johnston's 2012 Romania Trip

Pastor Johnston is planning to return to Romania in February of 2012 and help present an exposition of the books of Joshua and Judges withRuth during a module at the Timisoara Baptist Bible Institute (TBBI), bringing his wife Barbara Johnston with him.

Trip Status Updates:

The fill-in student notes for the class have been sent to Romania via e-mail for translation.

We have some classroom and office supplies for TBBI.

We've been able to purchase our plane tickets (thanks to God and supporters); our Passports have arrived, but we had some additional costs.

We've been able to purchase a laptop computer for the TBBI Dean of Students.

Microsoft computer software was donated also.

We've received funds to pay our room and board, as well as additional funds for Casa Esperanza, a church-operated orphanage we've helped on previous trips.

We're still seeking prayer and financial support.  We're hoping for at least $1,000 more for gifts for other trip needs.

Please pray for:

  • For effective Spiritual fruit to remain after the trip
  • For safety for all concerned
  • For the module attendees and the ministries they lead
  • Funding for the trip (about $6,000 for both of us)

Click here for a .pdf copy of the 2012 trip flyer that explains the trip and gives a proposed budget.  We've received additional monies for an orphanage and class supplies.

If you choose to support us financially, please make out a check to "First Baptist Church of Redmond" and write "Romania Fund" on the "For" line.  Our church will send you a year-end letter recognizing your gift for tax purposes.

Updates from Pastor's 2008 Romania Trip:

He had the great opportunity to teach a module on the book of Hebrews to a group of local pastors and church workers, travel to Lupin to speak to a youth gathering, and speak at 5 different churches. Investigate Frontline Fellowship's ministry in Romania by clicking here
